Water flow paddle & Soft close valves
Water pressure applied to the coffee throughout the extraction process can be adjusted using the flow paddle for optimal results. Adjust the position of the paddle to extend pre-infusion, ensuring the coffee puck is entirely saturated before full pressure is applied, and towards the end of the shot, reduce the pressure to prevent channelling. The soft close steam and hot water valves are spring-loaded, so they are easy to operate have a long working life.
E61 group head
The famous E61 group head made from 4kg of chrome-plated brass provides excellent thermal stability vital for great espresso. The E61 passive pre-infusion system gently infuses your ground coffee with hot water at a lower pressure allowing the coffee to expand uniformly in the basket for superior coffee extraction.
LCC control centre & pressure gauges
The LCC (Lelit control centre) allows you to set your coffee and steam temperatures, turn on and set pump pre-infusion, set a standby mode, turn the steam boiler on / off and check counters. A shot clock is displayed automatically when you make espresso. The double pressure gauges allow you to monitor the steam boiler pressure and the coffee brewing pressure.
